North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners
The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) is a volunteer board of renewable energy stakeholder representatives. NABCEP’s mission is to support, and work with the renewable energy and energy efficiency industries, professionals, and stakeholders to develop and implement quality credentialing and certification programs for practitioners. NABCEP certified solar installers are individuals who have satisfied the professional certification standards established by the NABCEP.
NABCEP maintains lists of certified solar photovoltaic installer and solar thermal (hot water) installers. The Delaware Energy Office's participating provider list also notes contractors who are NABCEP-certified.

The Solar Energy Industry Association (SEIA) -- a solar energy trade group -- maintains a list of solar panel manufacturers.

Solar Rating and Certification Corporation (SRCC)
Certification by the State Solar Rating and Certification Corporation (SRCC) of solar thermal equipment is a requirement of Delaware’s solar grant programs. SRCC is a non-profit organization whose primary purpose is the development and implementation of certification programs and national rating standards for solar thermal energy equipment.
